300,000 expected at Beirut Mass

Pope JOHN PAUL II is due to arrive at Beirut airport tomorrow at noon. The pontiff will then ride in the "Papamobile" to the presidential palace in Baabda, where he will meet the country's political and religious leaders. At 7 PM, he will meet the Lebanese youth at the Harissa Cathedral, and sign the Synod's "apostolic guidance".
On Sunday, 300,000 people are expected to attend the Mass that the Pope will celebrate near Beirut Port.
The historic event will be covered by 954 local and international reporters and transmitted live by all 4 Lebanese television networks (TL - LBC - Future TV- MTV).
