Jerusalem: Stadium of Saint James Church in Beit Hanina attacked

Posted on Jul 13, 2019 On Friday evening, July 12, anonymous assailants committed an attack from the side of Naveh Yaacov Settlement (northeast Jerusalem) on the stadium of Saint James Roman Catholic Church at Beit Hanina, during which yogurt boxes and tomatoes were thrown on participants at festival organized by the church at the presence of hundreds of faithful.

Several persons were hurt by the attack, including a 13-year old girl who fell due to direct hit and two priests, namely Fr. Najeeb Ibrahim and Fr. Bashar Fawadleh who were directly hit.

Thanks to God, casualties were very light and damage was minimal.

We condemn this attack and demand that the Israeli security systems investigate it seriously and bring the perpetrators to justice as soon as possible.
