City of David: How would David feel?

 Samia Khoury writes from Jerusalem:

My Dear Friend, the Reverend Elizabeth Knott, sent me the 2019 Presbyterian Lenten Devotional which has been very meaningful for me during this season while I am still recovering from my latest fall. I found the last paragraph of the March 19 reflection specially meaningful in view of what is happening in the area around Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem where so many Palestinian homes continue to be demolished or confiscated for the creation of the city of David.

In the closing words of Psalm 139, David made himself vulnerable by praying these words:

    • Search me, O God, and know my heart;
      test me and know my thoughts.
      See if there is any hurtful way in me,
      and lead me in the way everlasting.

I wondered how David would feel now with all the suffering that is taking place in his name?
